What is the difference between our professional (paid) moisture report and our free quotation??
1. Professional Moisture Reports
Our paid moisture report is more comprehensive than our free quotation and they are used primarily in the resolution of disputes.
They are accepted by VCAT and most arbitration and/or legal tribunals.
In both printed and digital format, they incorporate the following - and cost $895 including GST.
• Internal Moisture Penetration Inspection
Moisture penetration, elevated moisture levels in floors, walls, ceilings and roof cavities. Signs of visible mould growth and mould spores. Structural timber deterioration; mould spores; moisture readings and damage. Evidence of plaster contamination; evidence of condensation; all health issues etc.
• Subfloor inspection
- Moisture penetration, elevated moisture levels; Signs of visible mould growth and rising damp; evidence of moisture penetration; sub floor deterioration. Structural timber deterioration; mould spores; moisture readings and damage etc.
• Roof Cavity moisture inspections
Moisture penetration, elevated moisture levels; Signs of visible mould growth and rising damp; evidence of moisture penetration; insulation damage or deterioration. Structural timber deterioration; mould spores; moisture readings and damage etc.
2. Free Quotation
Our free quotations are free and without obligation. The free quotation will identify moisture issues in the property and will itemise the cost of repair or remediation, with a view to rectifying them.
Our free quotations are ONLY available to homeowners - or tenants who have the written permission of either the owner or estate agent. Our insection and quotation reports include the following:
Internal Inspection for moisture and rising damp problems
- We look for and document evidence of moisture penetration and elevated moisture levels in the living areas of the dwelling. We look for and document evidence of both visible mould growth and invisible mould spores in the internal atmosphere. Evidence of plaster contamination; evidence of condensation; etc.
Specialist moisture and condensation inspection and detection equipment
Inspecting for the presence of moisture, condensation and mould - whether the presence of moisture has already been established or suspected or whether its presence is unclear - involves the marrying of experience and training with sophisticated and powerful equipment. We invest thousands of dollars in the correct equipment to thoroughly analyse any property and locate any moisture that may be present.
Moisture Detection instruments can both detect and measure moisture in carpet, plaster walls, sold walls, concrete slabs, brickwork and the internal atmosphere. Dampco have a complete range of moisture metres.
Infra Red Thermal Imaging Inspection Camera - Infra red thermal imaging inspection cameras measure the difference in temperature on any given surface. Therefore, potential damp patches can be identified, even if they cannot be visually inspected or measured with a traditional moisture metre which relies on touch to gain a measurement.
Inspection Cameras detect Moisture in Inaccessible Damp Areas in subfloor, ceiling and wall cavities - Our camera based inspection cameras can detect or search for moisture in ductwork, behind wall cavities and in other visually inaccessible areas.
Mould Spore Analysers - Our mobile particle samplers can identify elevated airborne particles/mould spores and we use them to provide before and after readings of areas that are cleaned by Dampco.
